SmartList export to Excel 2010 limits data exported

Hello All,

I have an environment where users access GP through Citrix.  The environment is running GP 2010 and Excel 2010 32bit.  When users export SmartList, that contain more than 65k rows, to Excel the rows over 65K do not export.

Please let me know if you have seen this issue before.

Thank you for your time

You are running into an Excel limit, not a SmartList limit. Excel 2010 supports a

Worksheet size of 65,536 rows by 256 columns. You need to upgrade to Excel 2013.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

Unfortunately there is a limit in the export of rows in Dynamics GP 2013 due to the maximum integer value in Dexterity being 32766: intouchdynamicsgp.blogspot.co.uk/.../32766-maximum-row-export-to-excel-from.html

This was introduced when SmartList export was rewritten to speed it up. To the best of my knowledge, we're still waiting for a fix to this.

Thank you for your response.  According to my research the limits you list above apply to Excel 2003.  Excel 2010 list limits of 1,048,576 rows and 16,384 columns.  Please confirm if my numbers are not accurate.

    Thank you for your time

Can you tell me if the maximum integer value in Dexterity limit apply to GP 2010 v11.00.22044?

    The issue that is mentioned by Mr. Ian has been solved in GP 2013 SP2. In prior versions, there is a problem in exporting such a huge number to excel. This has been documented in the latest GP 2013 SP2 Fix List, you can refer to the documentation on the link below;

Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 Service Pack 2 - Fix List

Therefore, I do believe you have a problem with GP 2010.

    Hi Again

If you need that much information in Excel, why not use an Excel  spreadsheet with a Data Connection to the database?  You can refresh the spreadsheet instead of exporting static data?

    Kind regards,

    Leslie
