MPS EMERGENCY ORDERS AND TRACKING SUPPLY AND DEMAND

Dear All,

I have setup a company to use MPS (Master Production Schedule), but I have a question:

Some important information up front:
Business Central Version: W1 14.1

I want to know if there is any way I can see how the Emergency Order suggested qty on the planning worksheet is calculated. The problem is although I know from the Microsoft documentation how it calculates the qty, there is no real insight into what gets taken into account when performing an MPS run. Then to verify if the result can be trusted, the customer somehow needs to manually calculate the emergency qty. This beats the purpose of using MPS. The Customers is transitioning towards using MPS and just wants to verify if the suggestions make sense. The problem is that Emergency Orders do provide a lot of insight on how the suggested calculated quantity gets suggested in the first place.

Hopefully I was clear enough to get some answers.

Best,

Zafar

Hi, the most direct way is to view the standard code.
report 99001017 "Calculate Plan - Plan. Wksh.":
    More details:
Run Full Planning, MPS, or MRP

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

the concept of emergency order doesn't link to a particular demand but aims to meet all demand before the MPS planning date. for example, user runs MPS from june 12 to july 12. BC sees that there are demand for an item with due date before june 12 that hasn't been met by a supply. So BC create one emergency order for those prior demands.
