Product 5597 HITB report

We just installed GP 10.0 vs 10.00.1328 on a new server and moved company databases from the old server which was running GP 9.00.0293.  When we go to try to run GP utilities on the server, we are getting the following error message for all the databases:

HITB Report       You are attempting to configure an older version of product 5597.  Database 10.0.1296  Code 9.0.15

Any idea of the solution for this?

We did copy the Dynamics database at the same time as we copied all of the company databases.

I hope I am not way off base here, but If I'm not mistaken you are upgrading GP from 9.00.0293 to 10.00.1328 on a new server.  In this case, you would need to also copy your Dynamics database to the new server and upgrade that information as well, not just copy the company databases.

I think Bill has hit on it - Is your Dynamics database a fresh clean V10 install? or did you copy it across like the other V9 databases? There is a techknowledge on forcing updates if you search for it.

If you are coping the mdf files from the version 9 server and dropping them on the version 10 server, then you are going to have to force the system to do an update of the databases.

If you followed the plan and installed version 10, the only way I know of to make this work is to restore the databases, Dynamics as well as the company databases, and run Utilities, at which time the Application should recognize that the data in the Dynamics master table is not correct and should force an update.

We did not upgrade the data prior to the move -   We followed the instructions in KB Article 878449.  The user had GP version 9 and the original plan was to move the databases and install GP 9 on the new server but they installed SQL2008 so we could not get version 9 to work so we installed version 10

The historical inventory trial balance product (HITB)....but now that I think of it, this gets installed along with Dynamics. Did you upgrade your data prior to the server move, or is this what you are trying to do now by running utilities?

As far as installing the dictionary, which dictionary are you referring to?

Hi, just noticed that you said Dynamics.set...you need to edit the Dynutils.set file.

    Hope this helps.

If you right click the icon you are using to launch GP and select Properties, it will tell you the location of the set file that you need to edit. You might be editing the wrong set file. Check that first and let me know how you get on.
