HI,
I have read the below and have a number of queries:
https://cloudblogs.microsoft.com/dynamics365/it/2019/10/02/the-flowchart-diagrams-feature-in-microsoft-dynamics-lifecycle-services-lcs-is-planned-for-deprecation/
Now I understand that MSFT have struggled to get these process captures to the level of granularity required, and whilst the loss of this feature is REALLY annoying I can accept the need to capture in visio or some other model tool instead.
HOWEVER, There are a number of other features that I need to confirm are NOT being lost:
- Synchronisation of Task Recording to BPM Hierarchy from Dynamics
- Listing of process steps from Dynamics task recording in LCS (the box to the right of the process flows)
- Synchronisation of Test case in Azure Dev Ops from Task recording process in LCS
Additionally there is a defect that will become more of an issue with the removal of this feature:
- When copying business process models in LCS the associated VISIO diagrams do not copy
I do think this was a differentiator for Dynamics and it will be a loss. I would also be keen to understand what the advice to the delivery community is to store our process hierarchies now.
