Hi expert

I have created DMF import project for the import purpose.
My DMF import batch job failed and when I manually run its processed the failed import data.

How I can setup retry option on my DMF batch job. Kindly advise.

Thanks.

Please do tell us the error you got with screenshot if possible. Are you having this issue on a DEV, UAT or PROD?

The failure could be anything. Just wanted to know how to retry failed DMF batch job.

In my case I have one import project that import data to D365 custom table. Each time DMF export batch job
run and import a single record to D365 F&O. If any network error occur that batch job failed and when user
manually run the failed DMF export batch job then import successfully performed.
The idea here if I set the retry batch job option then if such failure occur user don't need to perform manual run.

    Hi Layan,

If you want to import DMF by Batch job, you can try this way: Select your import project > enter all related information > and select Import in batch in the Import Option then run by Batch process.

If you DMF import batch job failed, you want to retry it again you can go to Batch job and change its Change status  to Waiting. It will run again.

    Hi,

When an import job fails, the first step is to review the error message to understand the cause of the failure and troubleshoot the issue accordingly. After resolving the issue, you can rerun the import manually or through a batch job.

I recommend rerunning the job in batch mode. You also have the option to adjust the batch job status back to "Waiting" so that it can be executed again automatically.

    Hi,

I concur with the comments from Alireza.
Usually, the import can fail because of wrong or illegal values in specific fields or validation errors because of missing or inconsistent data. In case the import fails where manually retrying without fixing anything would work, that can imply that a design issue or customization is causing some trouble.
