"I dont really understand why and how to use Schedule Service Activity ?"

Do you have similar experience working with Schedule Service Activity ? Or do you have any example or resource to show me all details about this part .

Service Resources, the set of resource which will help you to accomplish anyservice, it can be user or any other resource like equipment.

So for example you are a training provider and need to deliver one training so in that case you can have one Service for CRM training where you can have resource like CRM Trainer, projector, or any other device that will help you to execute this training. You need to define these resource in CRM first, this should help you: crmbook.powerobjects.com/.../resources

Hi Narges,

Schedule Service Activity is important if you want to have like recurring Activities and you want to have it on schedule.

A good example is imagine you want to schedule automotive service for customer, doctor and operation, Air Conditioner repairing, Recurring Event & Session, or like roadshow as well while you need resources (can be people/users, facility, sites, service, equipment).

So you should defined those master first, you can also check the availability of each resources then customer preference combination, kind of tough functionality.

It is more helpful for some industries, such as healthcare, than others. It takes some initial effort and time to set up before end users can use it.

The service scheduler enables you to set up rules that will help you schedule services more efficiently. one the Instead of listing individual people, you are able to group people with similar skills into resource groups which are treated as pools. You are able to define facilities, locations, and equipment needed for the specific service. The scheduler will use these rules and preferences to suggest times, people and resources for that service. Once the service activity is scheduled it appears on the service calendar.

Hello,

Schedule Service Activity, used to scheduled service activity like appointment to provide service to your custom on specific time slots. It is part of the service Scheduling engine and mostly used by service providing companies. Before using service activity you need to configure your resources, sites, service etc so that while scheduling service activity you can use them.
