Access power app within HR context using HR Self service license

Hi,

As per licensing guide , Custom power app can only be accessed by D365Human Resource full license

so for self service user will they require separate license to access power app?

Basically our customer was trying to access a power app with self service license but getting an access error ...

Hi All,

We were finally able to access the power app with HE self service license after embedding the same within Employee self service workspace. It did not require any separate license

Hi Talent,

Even though the licensing might not be enforced and the app is working embedded on the workspace, you need to proper license the Power Apps usage. The Teams and Self Service SKU's don't include running Power Apps. (Licensing guide February 2020)

Thanks Andre. Can you kindly explain what is meant here by running power app ? Is it like executing the functionalities in it? I was able to view the data through HR self service license.

Hi Talent,

Please review the Power Platform licensing guide: go.microsoft.com/.../

On page 6 you will find the details. A person with Dynamics 365 HR license can 'Run custom apps'. The team member and self serve are not having the 'Run custom apps' included and would require an additional Power Apps license.
