Is CRM performance can be affected by outbound emails?

Hi,

We are using Dynamics CRM 2016. We are using two types of synchronizations methods, for most of the users it is “CRM for Outlook”, for few users it is “Email router”. I want to know that there will be any CRM performance issues with potentially a lot of outbound emails?

    Hi,

Email Router and Server Side sync performs queries on the Dynamics database in order to function however the throttling limits that Exchange Server enforces should prevent this being a significant issue.

The only performance impact you should be careful of is if your Email Router is installed on a CRM server - make sure you install it on a dedicated server.

    Hope this helps
