Hi,

I am a little confused on the On-Premises architecture of D365 about how will the Active Directory be used, will it be AAD or Office 365 accounts that'll be used to authenticate the user. An image for server architecture on how the whole mechanism works will do wonders if anyone can share.

Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) must be installed and configured in your network.

AD FS must be deployed.

I suggest start with the system requiremets download

then read the on line help.
