Hi,

I did the AOS restart. It is not starting. I noticed that the database is not accessible.

When i click the database in the SQL server management studio, i am getting the error message "The database dbname is not accessible. (ObjectExplorer)"

Thanks,

Hari

are you logging in with a local account or a domain account?

There are multiple reasons why this could happen.

Either a restart of the SQL Server (which is not the case), something in the log was not properly processed, or a real failure in the database (logical or physical corruption) of data. I would say run that command, and look in the Event Viewer for logs coming from MSSQLSERVER source.

Try this first: in SSMS run a

DBCC CHECKDB ('MicrosoftDynamicsAx') WITH ALL_ERRORMSGS, NO_INFOMSGS

    Hi Ilulian,

The SQL server was not restarted.

Could you please let me know in which case the AX database is going to recovery mode?

    Thanks,

    Hari

Also make sure that on the SQL instance you have added yourself AND the AXSysAccount (the account the AOS runs under)......you may not have physical access to that db, especially if someone ran the install under admin login and now you are logging in as yourself.....get someone to add under permissions in SQL db

Well, one thing that this can mean is that the SQL server was also restarted and it's just bringing the database up. Now, if everything is ok, you should be able to use it shortly (depending on how big it is). I would suggest wait some time and then do a refresh in SSMS and see if it's still in Recovery. If it's not, you're good to go. If still, you need to look further more into possible reasons.

Yes. I noticed that it is displayed as dbname (in recovery) in the SSMS.
