Problems importing a solution

I've been trying to importing a solution from test to quality and I'm having a hard time to understand the issue. It's my first time doing this.

the issue is related with the fact that I have dependencies from one solution that I need to import to the current one. That part of the problem I understand.

However I do not understand the provided steps for solving the problem.

Currently, is asking me to import a solution called "(Active)", which I do not find any reference on any solution on my CRM.

Could someone provide some light on this?

Many thanks

    RE: Problems importing a solution

    Hello Tiago,

The error message is saying that some components are missing in your target instance and all of them belong to the Active solution. The Active solution is in another words the default solution.

Could you please validate if in your target instance all of those components already exists?

    1. If Yes, that is not an expected behavior and can be mitigated by raising a service request to Dynamics 365 support team via our new Dynamics 365 Help + Support Portal - https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com. Some changes will need to be made on platform side to allow the import of the solution.
    2. If No, on your source instance could you please locate all the missing components and then click on Add Required Components, export the solution and then try to import it again?
      1. After this are you still getting the same error message?

    Hope this helps.

    RE: Problems importing a solution

The solutions that there is a dependency on are listed in the last column of your screen shot - if these solutions (with the same version) are not in the target environment you will get errors.

When you export a Solution file it does not export elements that were previously imported from a Managed Solutions so it expects them to already be installed in the target.

    RE: Problems importing a solution

    Hello Tiago;

Would this be a managed solution by chance? The only thing I've seen similar would be if a component had an active layer on top of it; might need to remove it before import. This is something I've found when trying to import a solution that removes things.

Hope this might help. Good luck!
