Hi Everyone !
There are no problems with downloading files with x ++. But I want to download it to the desired folder by providing the user with the option.
Is it possible to technically do this?
If technically possible, can you help me with this and share a sample code?
Best Regards.
.The web server simply returns a file; it doesn't control how files are downloaded by user's browser.
The browser may save it to a folder defined in its configuration, or it may show a dialog where user chooses a location. It all happens in a browser on client; not in X++ on web server.
In the browser settings you can usually choose which folder to use for downloads, or whether tje browser should ask the folder before each download. That's how it can be handled. D365 can't impact how the browser handles this.
Gokhan Cakir, Have you found the solution for this issue?
I believe that the question was answered: it's not possible. X++ running in on a web server can't control what a user does with the downloaded file on a local PC.
You'll need to look for a different way to implement your business requirement. If you need a help with it, create a new thread and explain your requirements there.
