Pause subscription before unsubscribing completely?

I want to give our customers the chance to choose to pause their newsletter subscription for 30 days instead of just being able to unsubscribe completely.

One thought I have is if I could create a suppression list that only will keep customers there for 30 days. Is this possible in some way? Or do you have an other way around it?
