Create folders in SharePoint when a new record is created in CRM

Hello, not sure if this post is appropriate for this forum.

I am trying to achieve this:

When an Account is created in CRM, a folder with Account name is created in SharePoint Document Library and create bunch of other folders inside it.

When an Opportunity is created, it checks whether the customer linked to the opportunity is present. If no, create the Customer first and then create Opportunity folder inside it. If present, then create Opportunity folder inside the particular customer.

Is this even possible directly from CRM. I am using Dynamics 365 version 9.

Thank you.

Hi, I went through the blog which you suggested.

There are no steps as to how the plugin would be registered and executed.

I believe callout is same as plugin in Dynamics CRM.

    Hi,

Out of the box, there is nothing apart from configuring out of the box integration but another option is to have a custom integration, you can refer this option : www.inogic.com/.../programmatically-create-folders-and-upload-files-in-sharepoint-server-2013-through-plug-inworkflow

    Hi, Mahender,

    Thanx for your help.

I already went through the document.

I am able to create account name folder in SharePoint i.e. folder at level 1 in the document library.

The only issue is in the flow when I compare, if there folder exists or does not exists. I am not able to achieve this through flow.

I thought there would be a way in crm to create the folders without using flow.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

You can configure out of the box SharePoint integration in Dynamics 365, it will create folder in SharePoint on entity create for example on account create and new account folder will be created in the SharePoint.

Please refer here for the out of the box integration details: technet.microsoft.com/.../dn894710.aspx

Further for your custom requirement to create a particular structure you can use Microsoft flow, check this nice post for create SharePoint folder from CRM: baddaz.com/create-your-own-document-locations-in-dynamics-365-using-flow-9649ecaf3672

    community.dynamics.com/.../using-flow-to-automate-document-locations-in-dynamics-365

    Hope it will help !!
