Is there a way to order by with smartlist builder. I wont to order by two colums.
Ex. if I was writing it in sql
order by empid_i, min(effectivedate_i)

I'm not sure exactly what the expected outcome of your smartlist is but if GOTO navigation is not required and all you need is a list of data for reporting purposes then I'd recommend building a view in SQL and hooking it up to a spreadsheet so users can refresh it.
We very rarely build smartlists or use them for that matter. Our users are more accustomed to working in Excel so we build views almost 99% of the time and sometimes we tie EONE's SmartConnect to it for seamless integration direct from the view.
There is no option available to edit the query in Smartlist Designer. But, if you are using GP 2013, you can create a smartlist with using Smartlist Designer like as a SQL server.
Hope this helps!!!
In smartlistbuilder under options there is a option called display sql. Is there a way to modify that? If so I could add my order by at the end of the sql code.
I think Smartlist Builder doesn't allow for pre-designated ORDER BY in the SQL statements.
