Startup blank (empty) application workspace

After migrating my models from 2012 to 2012 R2.

Each time I start AX client, the application workspace appears with an empty window.

No menus, No breadcrumb, just the blue File button.

If I hit CTRL+W to open a new application workspace session, a new standard application workspace appears with all the menu items and a completed breadcrumb.

Has someone already experimented such a problem ?

I've seen some posts talking about an upgrade checklist and the retail module, but this solution seems not to help.

I am aware of a solution, but I really can't recall as it is too long ago. I thought it was related to a missing record in some table or a value in a certain field of a table...

Maybe someone remembers?

I saw this problem as well after upgrading from RTM to R2. I never spent time trying to find out why though, but it went away after having the in place upgrade check list completed, if I remember correctly.

Press CTRL+D, Open the AOT, open Menus and find SystemAdministration\Setup\Checklists\In-Place Upgrade Check list. Mark the menu item and press the open button.

So the code upgrade should be completed, except for some steps that never gets marked completed.

Data upgrade should also be completed.

Well, thank you guys.

Indeed, completing the in place DATA upgrade check-list solved the problem.

I hadn't to recompile the whole application for this problem to be solved.

Only "mark as completed" was enough.

FYI, I experienced the same problem while doing a simple kernel update on my system. Solution was the same as you did above - complete the steps (mark as complete) for the in-place upgrade checklist.

How can i resolve the below issue?

Blank Screen is coming immediate after Kernel Compilation in creating TEST SYSTEM step.

Because in place data upgrade checklist is asking for "import model store".

I have just split database , installed the aos and other components and done with kernel compilation.

I just had the same issue with a kernel update. In the AOT, I manually opened display menuitem "SysChecklist_Servicing" (Software Update Checklist). Marking the steps as complete and restarting the AOS worked for me.

We tried everything we could

- Ran the partition checklist

- Ran the in place code upgrade checklist

- Load the licensee file

- Several restarts of the AOS

And what worked was

- Reset the User Data.
