New Cashier Rights

Hi everyone,

I checked on the previous questions, but I would like to confirm as I did not find the exact same question.

I Would like to set  a "discount only" cashier for my store.

It would be used only for discounted items, and set up to offer for example a 10% discount on every item it would sell.

Basically, I have only one register for each store, so if we want to do a discount to a customer we would disconnect the cashier, relog as the new cashier and make the discounted sale.

Is that possible, or is there only the "make a 10% sale button" solution available?

    Dear Simon, sorry for the late reply.

    Yes, it seems that with settings, only this solution is available.

    It is still a button type thing, I would have liked that the cashier was made to do 10% automatically on every transaction, without salespersons having to click on something.

    Too bad...

    Hi Mikael

    It sounds like you need to set up 1 cashier that has the 'Allowed to access Pricing' cashier right checked, and have this right unchecked for all other cashiers. With this right unchecked it is not possible to apply a Discount at the PoS (using Discount button or price override).

    So there is no possibility to do that out of the box, we have to do an addon...

    i can create this addon for you for really cheap,

    i would need more info as to why you need this as i might have other suggestions as well..

    i can basically make you a dll that on item add will check cashier id .. if cashier id = XXX then apply 10% on all items...
