    Hi

    A few places to check

    1) Make sure you have all of the following permission set in BC

    2) Check this blog post and follow the steps  https://olisterr.blogspot.com/2022/02/how-to-resolve-edit-in-excel-issues.html

    3) Does your company has any security policy that prevent such an action (in server side or office side)?

    Hi MahGah,

    Many thanks for your response.

In my user permission sets, I got the Super, Edit in Excel - view and Export Report Excel. I tried as per you suggestion insert the other two which are Edit in excel - Admin & Excel Export Action.

Even though after inserted the two permissions set, the same error occurred.

Also, I do tried connect using Excel OData Connector as per one of the suggestion in olisterr blogspot. It show error unable to connect.

    Hi

Since you cannot connect ODATA from your Excel it means something blocking your ODATA access which is the same concept as Edit in Excel (Edit in Excel publish the page as ODATA and then consume).

Can you check and see if any other users have the similar issue?

Olister Rumao  can you provide any help here?

    Thanks

Hi, this looks like an authentication issue. Please try logging in again in the Add-in and try again.

Note: It must be same account.

In addition, if your organization account and BC account are different, you can try it directly with Excel Online in InPriavte/Incognite in the browser.

    Hope this info helps.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

    Please confirm the following

    1. Authentication for ODATA - You might need OAuth authentication to connect to BC ODATA.

    2. Confirm that ODATA service you a looking for is enabled. Generally on BC Cloud the ODATA Service is enabled. But feel free to restart BC Environment from Admin Center.

    3. Confirm the permission sets for the Webservice object you are trying to access.

    Thanks.
