I am now using the PSTL and so far have only used it to combine some accounts. When combining accounts a message is generated saying something about reconciling years. without using the reconcile years function my balance sheet would not balance eventhough I was only combining P&L accounts. It is easy enough to reconcile the current year using the “Reconcile Financial Information” (tools>utilities>financial>reconcile) but if you go to reconcile history years this message appears "If detailed transactions don't exist for the historical year you've selected, the summary balances will be zero after the reconcile. Do you want to continue?" What does this mean and should I continue?

The Reconcile process forces the Summary amounts to equal the total of the detailed transaction amounts. This is a warning telling you that if your Historical years include only account balances and not the detail transactions that support the balances, the Reconcile process will zero the account balances.
