Activity status sync - Outlook to CRM

Hi

When I create a task in CRM, the task gets synced into Outlook. I can then see the task in the Outlook task-list and in Microsoft To-Do. Any changes (like changing closing date, acitivity status etc.) I make in CRM gets synced to Outlook.

But changes I make to the task in Outlook does not get synced to CRM. E.g. if I change the follow-up date or task status in Outlook, these changes will not show in CRM.

What is going on?

    Hello Andrea,

    You can first check under "system settings" by navigating to settings > administration > system settings > synchronization tab > system filters > synchronization fields > select task entity > ensure 2 way sync is enabled here.

    If that checks out, you could then login as your user account > click gears in the right hand corner > options > synchronization tab > filters > ensure that the contact filter is allowing synch from both ways.

    If that all looks good, I would suggest opening up a support request with Microsoft Support to see why the data is not synching back into Dynamics.

    It turned out that changes made in Outlook does sync to CRM - it only takes around 10-15 min. for the changes to take effect.
