I want to see actual files being sent from/to Head quarter to/from Channel databases

Posted on by 120

I have D365FO Hyper-V local machine trial product ver 10.0.13. I am doing some testing on the commerce module in USRT company and schedule jobs running successfully.
I want to see the actual files sent to the channel databases ( i think they are zip files containing CSV files)
Where does the system store those files ?
According to manuals, those files saved in emulated azure storage but is that storage physically on the local VM?
I opened form 'Commerce Data Exchange'>Download sessions> press on 'Download file'
but i got error: "Failed to retrieve download url for download session with id 68719516536"
Any help?

For Hyper-V environment those files will be handled by "azure storage emulator".

You can find the SQL database starting with "AzureStorageEmulatorDb __" and run the below query .

select CreationTime , blobName, ContentType, DirectoryPath,  * from Blob

    pastedimage1613119637734v2.png

You will see the directory path something like below(copy it from SQL data)

    "c:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile\appdata\local\azurestorageemulator\blockblobroot\1\0734e1c2-e56a-4862-99cc-8fd40842222a"

You will find the file with unknown file type. Copy and rename with .zip extension

That's it - you can file all CSV files in the zip file.

    Hope this answer your question.
