Urgent question: incorrect display of costs

Hello

Currently, we are still working with the Navision version of 2009. We are considering switching to business central.

Right now we are facing a crucial problem in Navision. I will try to explain it using an example. A purchase part RCK.A0020 is purchased for a particular machine. However, there is a need to make an adjustment to this. This modification is drawn out and executed by the company itself.

The modified purchase part is added to the cost statement of the associated project. The adjustment costs e.g. €200. This 200 euros is then added.

The cost of the original purchase part is not included in the cost statement despite a link being made with the drawing of the modification. The original purchase part costs 1500 euros. This causes a severe underestimation of the cost of a project which can lead to financial problems.

Does Business central have the possibility or specific feature through which this problem can be solved and that a correct cost overview is displayed?

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

You example is a bit hard to follow. Are you producing the item? Are you changing the components on the BOM? What is your costing method?
