I have a Management Reporter financial report that has volume information in certain rows (which is obtained from an Excel spreadsheet with a tab for each entity in the reporting tree) and financial information in other rows of the report. In the row definition the volume rows have a link to external worksheet defined in column” J” with the cell links defined in column “K”. The column definition has a column type of FD. In the Reporting Tree the worksheet link is defined in column “G”, the workbook path is in column “H”(the path is a mapped network drive) and the worksheet name is defined in column “I” for each entity in the tree.
When I run the report I get the following error:
”The report definition you have selected is linked to an Excel file M:\MR Files\Units.xls that could not be found. The folder does not exist.”
The folder clearly exists as I can brows to it from the Reporting Tree. I tried putting the spreadsheet in different locations, such as the “C” drive on the computer and the Management Reporter default file location with no luck. What am I missing? The help, training and examples I have been able to locate were of little use.

I'm getting the same error Gary had. How do I change my path to UNC?
I just installed MR 2012 RU2 and was still getting this message. When I changed the link to the UNC path, it was able to find the excel file.
Are you using the latest Roll up (2) for Management Reporter?
