Turn off Phone Click-To-Call

Hi -

 

With the new phone type, is there an option to turn off "click-to-call"?  I tried disabling the skype add-in and the field still contained the hyper-link which contains a call to Skype.

    Hello Jason,

    Can you check if there is an addon in your IE for Skype Integration, if there is can you try disabling it, Also refer this link to get some idea :- rc.crm.dynamics.com/.../how_sr_skype_integration.htm

    I did disable the Lync and Skype addin for IE and it did exactly what your link stated (I had also read this initially)...It does add a hyperlink on the phone number asking to open Skype and make the call.

    ...By default, Skype installs a browser add-on called Skype Click to Call (C2C). This add-on detects and formats the valid phone number strings found in websites with the direct call functionality. It also inserts a Skype icon next to the phone number. If the Click to Call add-on is disabled or not installed, you will see a hyperlink on the phone number....

    What happens when you access the CRM site on a different browser ? Does it still behave the same.
