Hello Everyone,

I'm posting this as a FYI to any Star Micronics TSP100 futurePRNT printer users that are frustrated by intermittent issues between RMS and the printer. The issue seems to involve problems with the spooler, in my case in a Windows 7 environment. I attempted to use Star Micronics 5.2 and 5.0 configuration software with no success. Save yourself the time and install Version 4.0. Here's the link: http://www.star-us.com/ftp/TSP100%20Drivers/

Star Support Communication to Me:
The issue you are describing in a 5.2 Driver issue. My recommendation is to downgrade to an older version of the driver, 4.0. Please first uninstall the 5.2 driver while having the printer off or disconnected. Then reboot the computer and install the 4.0 software. Once installed, connect the printer and you should be all set. Please let me know if you have any more issues. I have included the link below to download the 4.0 software. You just need to verify whether you have a 32 or 64 bit version of Windows.

Hi Sue,

I'm doing some testing with Futureprnt and RMS at the moment and can't seem to get anything on the Text Processing page to work. I'd like to add a coupon at the end of the receipt if a customer spends $25 or more. Nothing on this page (text processing) works. Character replacement, Change Merger Setting nor the Change Coupon Settings. Star is telling me that RMS must use printer fonts and not true type fonts, even though they have RMS listed on the futureprnt compatibility chart. We're you able to get any of these things on this page working at all? Any insight is greatly appreciated!

I just saw your post, FCASES. I don't know what keywork triggering is, if you explain I'll try it for you. You may have already resolved this. Let me know.
