Fixed Asset G/L journal post error

Hello

i am new to Fixed Asset in Nav 2017

tried to set up depreciation for company vans.

filled in all the information for fixed asset card, but when i tried to 'acquire', got to the end and open the G/L journal to post, this error came up.

can anyone tell me how to fix it? thanks Jenny

Hi Jenny,

In the Document no. field you need to enter the document no. If the Number series not assigned automatically, you need to enter the Document no. Other wise document will not be posted.

it seems fixed the first step, i still cannot post, the error now is 'Gen posting type must not be in gen journal line'. do you know why? thanks so much jenny

Hi Jenny,

General Posting type should be purchase or sale. In your case it is purchase and you have to update it.
