Session date and time for sales order

Hi,

I changed the session date but it did not reflect on the transaction dates (created date and time field) when I created my Sales Order.
Is there a way to create a Sales order with the session date that I set, or is it not possible?

Thanks in advance for any help

    Hi,
There won't be anything called an order date, you will have the sales order creation date, which is a system field that cannot be modified. It gets the system date of the relevant trade agreement, so you can consider changing the system date. In AR Parameters > Price > Price > Date Type, you can choose the agreement based on today’s date or Requested ship date or Requested Receipt date.

    Best Regards,
    Hana

    Hi,

Session date/time and system date/time are two different things.

Session date is used to default the values on transactions but system date is just one for all.

    Hi Rhian,

The same question was asked a few weeks ago. I can't quicky find the thread for your reference. Anyway, the session date is not used for the created and modified date/time. Those system fields will always be filled with the current timestamp.
The session date can be used e.g. to propose a transaction date for a journal line. You can read more about the session date on my blog: Session date in Microsoft Dynamics AX - Dynamicspedia
