Open production picking list when finishing operation

There is checkbox making manually created picking list to be  opened when a production order is started. It's located under Production parameters Start-Journals-Open picking list journals.

For different reasons we create our picking lists manually before the production orders are released, so we cannot use automatic flushing. However when a operation is finished we would like all associated picking lists to be opened automatically to prevent it not to be posted.

Is there any parameter that controls this process, open picking list when operation is ended.

    Hi Henrik,

The parameter only exists for Start and not for any other operations. The reason why it exists at start is so that user can alter/edit the dimensions if needed. If you don't want your picks to be automatically posted, set the default values to never and end mark picking list to no and it will never post the journals automatically. Opening the journal to not let them post may not be a good idea because typically user open up the journal and then click post. Default should help you here.

In our process it's not up to the logistic guys to decide what material to pick. He should pick what's in the picking list. The other thing is that we use Job registration to start all jobbs (even picking operation).

    The process looks like this:

    1. Picking list is created by planing guys

    2. Production order is released

    3. Logistic guy check job list and start to picking job and drives to warehouse

    4. Material is picked from warehouse

    5. Picking list is (should be) booked in AX

    6. Material is delivered

    7. Picking job is ended

We actually want the picking list to be opened when the picking job is finished (at the same time the job is reported as finished). So we wan't to ensure all picking lists are booked when the job is ended, that's why standard (as far as I know) isn't enough.

If default values doesn't suffice and you want the same functionality as Start, your option is to proceed with customization.

    Thanks,
