Item Unit of Measure

Posted on by 36
Hi All

I'm having a challenge regarding my Item UOM when it comes to my order planning function - The item has Base UOM of BOX and then secondary unit of measure kg
1 Box = 15KG
On my project I have a demand of 1 Box of the item

When I run the order planning I get the following discrepancy:

If I am not mistaken, this should show the 15kg and not 0.06667

But when I change the UOM the quantity changes to the correct demand

This is also the setup on my item card:

Kind Regards,

Ok, so the way that I normally set items up like this is to make sure that the Base Unit of Measure is always in the lowest unit and in this example that is KG.  So my BASE and Purchase are KG but my demand is still 1 BOX.

The item unit of measure now reads as follows

Order Planning now looks like the below.

Check out the link below for the units of measure.

    Hope that helps,
    Shauna

    Hi,

Can you confirm exactly what order planning screen you run?  I am assuming the planning worksheet but when I set up the same example I get the correct information.

Sales order entered for 1 BOX, location EAST.  Run planning worksheet for this item and get below.

Order planning shows me the following as well.

Now, I created a stock keeping unit against my item as I had multiple locations but please check your purchase/sales unit of measure on item card and is the demand definitely 1 box?

    Hope that helps,
    Shauna
