Is it possible to save an Advanced Filter as a Personalization, so when I push out the Personalization to everyone, the AF is used when they open a list page?

I have the same question (0)

    Hello Oceanfish,

Have you tried make use of 'saved views'?

It sounds as if this relatively new feature seems to fit your requirement.

    For details, please see:

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

We did try Saved Views, but had to turn it off as it collided with other applied personalizations.  Just want to include the applied filter into the personalization so I can distribute it that way - if possible.  The absence of Internet search results tells me it may not be possible.

What I ended up doing was to setup the AF, then immediately at it to a Workspace as a Tile with the count enabled.  Then share the Workspace Personalization.

    Hi Oceanfish26,

The workspace tile workaround should be fine. Maybe not as nice as the saved views option but it should definitely do the job.

Can you let us know about the collision that you mentioned with other personalizations?

    Many thanks and best regards,

    Ludwig

Oceanfish26, can clarify what you mean about the Saved views colliding with other personalizations?  With Saved views you should be able to publish out a view with the query you want to the correct subset of users. Users who receive that view can make implicit personalizations on top of this published view, or if they want to make more substantial personalizations, they can save their own copy based on the published view.

Oceanfish26, once Saved views are enabled (which will happen eventually as this feature will be mandatory in the future), you'll likely end up needing to save the query as a view before you can pin it as a tile in the future. If the query is important enough to pin as a tile, the user will likely want to be able to quickly switch to that dataset if they happen to be on the form.
