Maintenance work order creation for customer linked Asset

Dear all,

In D365 SCM > Asset Management, I am maintaining an Asset and linked to a customer.

I am able to create normal work order and maintenance request.

But when creating Work Order from maintenance request, it's not allowing to create work order and throwing following error message:

Maintenance requests - (Maintenance Order number - Asset ID) Cannot add object (Asset ID) to work order because of different customers.

I am wondering whether Maintenance work order creation is possible for customer owned assets.

Please share your views about potential reason of this error.

    I think the most effective way is to contact the development colleagues to debug it with the test data.

    Hi, You didn't read or understood my problem.

    My problem is not work order creation on a Maintenance request when the asset is owned by company.

    I know how to create.

    The problem is with customer owned asset. Not able to create work order on maintenance request.
