Hi, the 535 is Google refusing the password itself, nothing wrong on the BC side. Google stopped accepting the normal account password over SMTP a while back, so you need an App Password instead — turn on 2-Step Verification on that Google account first, then generate the 16 character app password and paste that one into the Password field. Rest of your setup looks fine.
One thing I notice in your screenshot, Secure Connection is switched off. On 587 that should be on, Gmail wants STARTTLS. Maybe not what throws the 535 but it'll bite you straight after. Also if ar@ is a Workspace account and not a personal gmail, check with whoever administers the domain, they can block app passwords for the whole tenant and then nothing you do in BC will help. The OAuth 2.0 option in the connector is for Microsoft 365 as far as I know, not Google. Is it Workspace or personal gmail?
Glad to help - follow up if anything is unclear.
â–º If this solved it, marking it verified helps others too.
