Navnsion 2018 Job queue can't run past midnight

Hi,

I have a problem with a queue, which need to run past midnight. From 9 PM to 9 AM, but the queue stops just before midnight, every time.

Does anyone have a quick fix?

Furthermore, is it possible to split one queue into two? So it runs from 9pm-23pm and again from 2AM-9AM?

    You have to be sure that you are running the latest platform and application hotfixes for NAV 2018 (currently CU 29). it is crucial to merge all application objects in order to work appropriately with the latest platform bits.

    Once you have secured that you could double check if JQ / Task Scheduler is working fine.

    Typically in that range of non working hours, there might be some SQL Maintenance plan that is running such as rebuilding indexes or statistics or something on this flavor. These could interfere with the normal task scheduler activity.

    If you need to run a scheduled tasks only within a range of hours I guess you have to check if setting earliest start date and end date might match what you would like to achieve. Otherwise you have to be in touch with your CSP Partner or reseller to customize and tailor the application at your needs.

    Last but not least, you might investigate if this blog suits your needs demiliani.com/.../

    No, sorry - nothing has been posted to Event viewer.

    But shouldn't it be possible to run past midnight? without having a stop/start at 23:59/00.01

    Everything is up to date and working fine, but the JQ still stops a bit before midnight. We it be possible to split the JQ, so it runs 21-23 and again 02-09?

    This is not how the task scheduler works.

    You have to customize the application (or ask your developer to do it) or you might investigate the blog from Stefano Demiliani.

    Remember also the initial disclaimer: be sure to have both platform and application updated to the latest CU

    Hello DangerJoe,

    Based on your explanations, i think the Recurrence setup might now have been done properly in the Job Queue. Job Queue Needs to re occur everyday which allows it to pass midnight.
