Dynamics 365 Portal Sign in failed after login from Azure B2C

Hi There,

When users redeem invitation or login to our portal, sometime go to the "sign in failed" portal page(  /Account/Login/ExternalAuthenticationFailed)  after they are authenticated from Azure B2C  and redirected back to portal,

But if the users redeem or login again, they authenticate successfully. This doesn't happen every time for a user.

And the reply uri in Azure for the portal app is set properly.

Is there anyone know what might be the cause?

Thanks in advance

I have the same question (1)

    Hi Partner,

It may be caused by portal cache.

You could try to add your portal base URL in the Azure AD Application.

This blog is also for your reference.

    Hello ,

Did anyone found how we can dubeg this issue.
We already have azure B2C setup.

I suspect updating secrets in app registration stopped communication between B2C and powerpage.
Please help to provide more details.

I’ve noticed that intermittent “sign in failed” errors after Azure B2C authentication are often caused by portal caching or outdated secrets in the app registration. To troubleshoot, I make sure the portal base URL is added in Azure AD, verify all reply URIs, and check that client secrets or certificates are current. Clearing portal cache and testing a fresh login usually helps identify whether the issue is cache-related or due to misaligned app registration settings.
