Custom Screen

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Just joined today! and just starting out on GP. Two Q

1) On the Detail Enquiry screen, the Fields (on bottom half of screen) overlap to 2 rows, thus its tricky to align the Headings with the values, can the screen be widened, as there is a lot of blank space to the right. Idea is wider screens the headings would appear just on 1 row? Below might give you an idea of the blank space

2) Is it possible to create a Custom Screen where I can look up any Code on GP? I have a Previous Finance System which in effect I just want to replicate the look and feel? If someone could direct me to a source, that would be great

Thanks

    1. Window can be widened and all fields can be moved to single line. But this means a customization of window through a dexterity tool or a modifier.

2.Yes, but again this is a customization, you can not code inside the application, you have to create chunk file (something similar in working like EXE to deploy new changes in application), look and feel could be changed through modifier.
