Posted on by 65

Hello ,

I am new to Dynamics .

I am  trying process flows .

I am trying to delete contact with making flow .

i have created flow where it takes name as input , and then Common Data Service -> Delete Record .

But the delete record part is having error with status code 404.

So how can I delete contact using process flow ??

    Hi

Since you need to find the record by ID, you could configure List records-Filter Query to get the record. ID field has a unique value in Entity, so only one record will be obtained.

Please review the following thread, it has an example of this scenario.

    Hi

Are you correctly passing the GUID of the record that are you trying to delete?

This action doesn´t take the name of the record as parameter, that's why you are getting a 404 error.

    Can you share your flow?

    Hi,

Can you share screenshot of your flow?

Please note, Delete step works with the GUID (not name). If you want to get the GUID of contact by Name, use List Records step and query the contact using GUID.

Finally, use retrieved GUID in delete step.
