Delete Financial transactions

Hi,

to remove the financial transaction i know that we need to clear the following tables :

GeneralJournalAccountEntry
GeneralJournalEntry
LedgerEntryJournal
LedgerEntry
Ledgerjournaltrans
Ledgerjournaltable

but is there any safe job or function to do this cleaning ?

    Hi ahmed.kimo,

    There is no job to do it "safe". Actually there is no way to do it safe in AX at all. Deleting financial transactions you will break data integrity because you will have custTrans, vendTrans, taxTrans and bunch of different documents referring to deleted transaction by voucher and it could cause random issues across whole system.

    Could you please tell us why do you want to do this ?

    Actually , I have one customer they need to start enter the transactions from beginning for some internal auditing issues,

    So what you suggest to serve them  ?

    Deleting transactions before audit sound like a fraud. The only standard way I'm aware of is credit of posted documents.

    Hi Ahmed,

    Ask them to realize this by posting correction vouchers. This might take longer but it is certainly the better way than deleting something in the background.

    Can you provide some more information on how many transactions are affected and what kind of transactions?

    Hi,

    It's not like that , but the situation is that , they started work in the system but during some delay from their side and some customization at the same time they was working in their old system (Not AX) , now they are ready with opening balances to start from beginning again , but they don't need to show records in the system that for testing purpose and they need to start on free history of financial transactions , and this is fully known by the staff,

    So either credit existing transactions or deploy new clean database. If you have backup of DB before transactions were posted  it could be an options as well.

    it's too long , around 2000 to 3000 vouchers

    we can not do that because there is a lot of transactions (not posted like FA  or paystatements) in the system and also master data and configuration as well, only our problem in the financial vouchers that's it,other that that we need it to be there

    I believe ievgen's suggestion to start with a clean database is the best option that you have in this case.
