Dear Community,
is it possible in Dyn 365 NAV (on-premise) to record or read which entities and functions are used?
Is there an activity control on entities to see read access per entity?
Or do you know a third-party application which can record it?
Many thanks in advance.
Thank you very much
Hello,
I do not think that does exist out of the box at that level. Maybe there are extensions available. The only thing I can think of is the UI Elements Removal. key you can specify in customsettings.config. That is not the audit level you require but a restriction upfront.
Thanks.
Hi,
thank you very much but I can only see logs for changes or updates.
I can´t see something about read access.
Is it possible to see the read access?
Thank you very much.
Yes, I do.
I know in Dynamics 365 CRM you can use Dataverse and there you can see e.g. How many users had read access on which entity in a specific time.
But I am not sure if it is possible for Dynamics 365 Business Central (NAV).
Many thanks in advance.
Hello,
Are you looking for the change log functionality or some sort of audit mechanism?
Thanks.
Thank you very much but it is only to see which user is allowed to do something. But I can´t see the real usage. E.G. you can have 5 permissions but you can use only 2.
Is there an other way to see which user had read access e.g. last month there was 5 users which used read access to a special field or entity?
You can use a permission recorder, please check this
