Data Exchange definition's debit /credit segregation

Hi,

I'm using data exchange definition for import data from CSV file to general journal.

In that file, all the amounts are defined in positively and if it's Debit line, 'D' letter is showing in next column and if it's Credit line, 'C' letter is showing in the next column.

My question is how can I import the file with above condition to a journal? Can I configure this in BC?

Thanks in advance!

Hi, was also looking for a solution for this.  Posting it here so it can help others.

You can use the Negative-Sign Identifier:

    1. In column definitions, mention C in the column of the credit/debit indicator.

    2. In the field mapping, map the column of the credit/debit indicator to the same field Amount.

    Hope it helps.

Or get your csv to have the '-' sign for credits and import into the amount fields versus importing into the debit amount and credit amount fields.

Hello - We currently do not have an option to put an offset entry in the Data Exchange Definition.
