Trade agreement in D365

Hi,

I created a trade agreement for purchase price with 2 effectivity dates.

The first effectivity date is dated March 1-31 and the second effectivity date is April 1-April 30.

I created 2 purchase requisitions, one is for delivery in March and the other one is for delivery in April.

My system date is March when I created the 2 purchase requisitions.

During creation of first purchase requisitions, I accepted the default requested date of March and the system pick up the correct purchase price for March.

During creation of 2nd purchase requisitions this time the delivery date is April, I accepted the default requested date which is March and then edited the requested date in purchase lines to April.

Upon checking the unit price, the default unit price is March unit price and not the April unit price as setup in trade agreement.

In order to change the unit price from March to April unit price, I have to re-select the vendor account so that the system will get the correct unit price which is April.

Is it a bug or by design? I'm using D365 F&O.

Appreciate your inputs.

Thanks.

    Hi,

Same case as you. In my mind, it is by design, need to manually trigger the trade agreement.

    Hi Marypeace,

It doesn't sound logical to me that you need to re-select the vendor account. You can try to create a ticket for Microsoft Support. You can get a reply like it is by design, but in my opinion then a bad design. A date change should also be a trigger to update the price according to the trade agreements.

    Hy Marypeace,

as I know price finding for PR as PO depends on this setting in Purchase and sourcing parameters.

If set to "today" prices will be searched with today date only, not the delivery date. The setting to "Delivery date" works for me in PR and PO.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Andreas,

I tried what you suggested to set the date type to delivery date but still not working.

I also tried Today as date type but to no avail.

What platform update are you in D365?

    Pls advise.

    Thanks.

    Hy Marypeace,

    I'm on current release.

Please set the date type value to "delivery date", otherwise it can't work.

Verfy your trade agreement to be posted with the future prices.

Now please verfy that your trade agreement works in a regular PO, if you enter a delivery date in the future you have new prices for the item.

    Hi Andreas,

It works in PO but not in PR.

    Appreciate your input.

    Thanks.

    Hy Marypeace,

which delievery date did you set when creating the PR? March or April?

Try to set the requested date to April at cretating of the PR.

    Hi Andreas,

The delivery date that I set when creating new PR is March because there are several line items in 1 PR with different delivery date.  Other line items have delivery date of March and other line items have delivery date of April in 1 PR.

So I change the delivery date per line.

    Thanks.

I understand, but I can't reproduce the behaviour. As in my Environmet it works for delivery date in Header as well as delivery date in PO line.

May be the purchase policy restricts something in this way that the Vendor and/or trade agreement is not found as expected.

Perhaps you may reduce the PR policies to a minimum to find out whether this is the cause.

May be you share the trade agreement and PR policy setup.

    Hi Andreas,

It's working fine in PO but no in Purchase requisition.

I think you are referring to trade agreement in PO but not in PR.

    Thanks.
