Mapping fields when reimporting exported data

It seems the ability to edit the mappings when reimporting exported data has been removed in CRM 2016.

I have exported some data, which includes a lookup field to a custom 'Activity'. On the custom Activity I have a field called Reference Number, which is a unique ID I assign using an Autonumbering process.

When I update the exported data and add this Reference Number into the Activity column in the spreadsheet, the import fails because it is trying to map the value to the 'Subject' of the activity and not the Reference Number.

We used to be able to specify that the value in the spreadsheet could map to particular fields when reimporting exported data. Has this functionality been removed or just moved and I cannot find it (where was it moved to)?

If it was removed, why and how can I now achieve what I need to?
