Hi All,

To add two new fields through display method in Item Id lookup, added two display method on InventTable and the display method added to Field Group AutoLookup but the lookup is not showing the two fields.

Please help me if any thing else i am missing to get the desired lookup.

It seems that the form control, lookup of which you're trying to change, doesn't use AutoLookup group. Most likely, it uses the default lookup form for ItemID EDT, which is InventItemIdLookupSimple. It may also have lookup() method overridden and using some other logic.

    Hi

You can try to override lookup method through extension, and you should cancel call to super in the method.

    Hi Urvashi,

As Martin said, most probably the lookup for the field is from "InventItemIdLookupSimple" Form. This form is based on a view that is called "InventItemIdLookupSimpleView"

I can see that both display methods you are trying to add, reads from EcoResProduct table. And this view "InventItemIdLookupSimpleView" has "EcoResProduct" as a datasource.

So what you need to do is, add these two new fields (drag and drop) from EcoResProduct to the view fields (InventItemIdLookupSimpleView). Then go to the form  "InventItemIdLookupSimple" and add these two fields to the grid as well.   -- no need for display methods and the lookup should work as you expect now.

**but please note this will affect all places that use this EDT. -- is this your intention? if not, then what is the form you are trying to amend that contains this EDT? maybe you will need to put logic on the form control itself

    Thanks,
    Layan Jweihan
