Change Worker-Vendor records mapping

Is there a way to change the Vendor account mapped to a Worker account (Expense Management tab)? For example, I have a Worker Record = A and Vendor Records B & C. Currently, Worker Record = A is mapped to Vendor Record B. Can I change the mapping so that Worker Record = A is mapped to Vendor Record C? I was not able to do this in AX 2012. What is the work around for this scenario?

    Hi Lifia,

    What exactly do you mean with 'mapped'? Is it a contractor where the field Vendor is filled? Or is the vendor a type of person and is the (vendor)person the same as a (worker)person?

    Thank you for your reply. The mapping that I mean is done through the worker record/expense management tab/"Map worker to vendor". More information about the linking the worker to the vendor records can be found here: blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/.../link-the-workers-to-the-vendors-in-order-to-manage-the-expense-reports-in-ax-2012. This blog has a document that described exactly where I am at right now. The worker & the vendor records are already linked. I'm wondering how to change the link if turns out, I have incorrectly mapped the wrong vendor to the worker record.

    Hi Lifia

    If you realise you've linked the worker to the wrong vendor using the method you've linked to above, you can just click the 'map worker to vendor' button again and select a different vendor from the list. This updates the entry in table TrvPartyEmployeeRelationship to correct the relationship between worker and vendor.

    Thank you Tom. Turns out the error I’m getting when attempting to correct the relationship is derived from other issues as when I tried it in a different environment I am not getting the error and I’m able to correct the relationship as you suggested.

    You didn't mention before you are facing an error. Can you share the exact error message? Probably a screenshot?

    Hi Andre,

    The error is caused by an XDS enhancement: Cannot create a record in Table to be used for XDS enhancement (DimensionAttributeValueCombination) Record-ID: XXXXX. The record already exists. This is not an out-of-the box issue. Thanks for following up.

    Hi Lifia,

    What do you mean with "not an out-of-the box issue"? Is it caused by a customization? Then contact the developer. If you are the developer and need help, please share information about what and how related to this XDS policy. Are you able to change the mapping when the XDS policy has been disabled?

    Hi Andre,

    Yes the issue I was seeing was due to customization and yes I was able to change the mapping when using an environment without the XDS customization.
