Beginner - Can we manage documents without using SharePoint?

Hi,

I am using CRM Dynamics Online.  The Document Management settings require providing a SharePoint 2010 site url.

What if we do not want to use this collaboration feature at this point?  Is it possible to upload and manage documents without using SharePoint?

If yes, please advise how to do that.

    Hi there!

    I suppose it might be possible.  You can add documents to most entities and activities using the Notes and Attachments area.  You would need to create your own Documents views to see lists of documents attached to various Accounts or a centralized list.  .

    Keep in mind with all documents attached to records are stored in the database and that adds to your total storage capacity.  With CRM Online, that may involve additional charge for storage if you exceed your allotment.

    Yep -- You just use the Advanced Find to search for Notes where Document equals Yes.
