Hello All, I need a small suggestion on the below requirement.

I have to create one Powerapps form, that will create entries from Powerapps to CE.
Need to verify a User with Powerapps license and no CE license for OOB(Unrestricted) entity can work?
Need to verify a User with Powerapps license and no CE license for the custom entity can work?

The main scenario here is to check if only with Powerapps license can create Orders in CE.

could you please guide me here?

For PowerApps you will need two licenses- one for the admin who's making the app and setting up the data connection to CRM and second for the user (if you have n users you need n licenses) who is entering data. So this second user doesn't need to have CE license as they got a Power Apps license. PowerApps license will provide them CDS access anyway. So when the order is created in CE it would show created by as Admin (License 1 holder)

Hi partner,

As far as I konw, if you want to use CE, you should have the license of it, at least you should have Sales license since you want to create orders.

Dynamics CE is a large environment which contains Sales, Field Service, Customer Service,Marketing...

You could refer to D365 Pricing here.

Thanks for reply Prashant, that means we can create orders from Power App(Model-driven App) to D365 CRM CE without taking D365 CE subscription from power app users? Is am correct here?

I have to verify two items now -

1. A user who has only CE subscription can create order from Power App to CRM

2. A user who has only Power App subscription can he create records in CE from the power app?

As I know Oct 2019, some policies got changed for Power App subscription.

So, just want to verify if my users who have Power app licence and create records(order) in D365.

In Canvas App , YES I can able to consume existing D365 connection and able to create a record from App to CRM. But not sure in Model-driven App it can be possible or not - my guess is we can use CDS, but not having more knowledge on this. A quick reply will appreciable, Thanks
