Hi:
An end user of Dynamics NAV who is migrating to Business Central has five years of sales orders that have never been archived.
So, they have five years of sales history to migrate.
If they were to archive the five years of sales orders in NAV prior to the migration, would this reduce the amount of time for the actual data migration?
Thanks!
John
Hi,
As Ynz Zhu suggested there will be no impact on migration / replication time.
Why they want to store those sales orders which are already shipped and invoiced? If they don't then deleting them will surely save time in migration as it reduces data.
Hi, sorry I haven't tested it.
But personally I don't see it making a difference.
To put it simply, if you don’t do an Archive, Sales Orders -> Sales Orders, if you do an A
rchive, Sales Order Archives -> Sales Order Archives. It’s all movement of table data.
Hopefully other experts can give you better advice.
Thanks.
