BP Req Mgmt-automate PO creation

Posted on by 945

We are currently on GP v9 with BP v3. Is there a way to automate the creation of PO's from requisitions (we don't have discount structures with suppliers that we can take advantage of - we only need to create one PO for one req).

Is this functionality (ability to automatically create one PO for one req) maybe available with a later version of Requisition Management?

 Thanks,

Ritesh

    Thank you for the reply.

I am very familiar with the process of creating PO's from reqs in Req Mgmt - what I would like to know is if that step can be automated (without resorting to an external integration eg. using Integration Manager).

We create a fairly large number of reqs (up to 300 per day) and it's a time consuming to go manually convert each req to a PO.

    in addition:

by default its one PR to one PO, but you have the option to combine similar items from several PR's to one PO, this will happen at the stage of converting PR to PO by a purchase requisitioner.

    hope this helps:)

    Hi,

below is the process from PR to PO.

Purchare request>approving>final approving>converting to PO>PO created in GP PO entry window.

    OR

the requester will create a purchase request>the immediate supervisor will approve the request>request will be finally approved >finally approved PR's will be converted to PO by purchase requsiotioner> the PO the can be viewed in GP.

Please let me know which part here did you miss?

    rgds,

    Sunbeam
