Unified Service Desk Double Authentication

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi Guys,

Good day!

I managed to install Unified Service Desk 2.0 in my pc and integrated it to my trial Dynamics 365. My question is, how can I get rid of the double authentication I experiencing. Below are the screenshots that will further explain my issue.

Login using admin credentials:

After a successful login another login showed:

Is there anyway I can get rid of the 2nd login? Thank you in advance for the help.

Regards,

Allan

    Hi Srikanth,

Is there anyway to Force sign in the CRM always whenever the user logs in USD. Please let me know in case of any suggestions from your side.

    Thanks,

    Sriram

I don't see any thing wrong in selecting "remember me" in IE, It would become problem only if the user logs in leaves the machine unattended which is against to any standard business interests.

But, the problem is, if the user clears the password/browser cache then he may get this login screen again.

    Hi Srikanth,

    Thanks for the reply!

How about if the agent will login? Is it appropriate to use the remember credentials from IE?

    Regards,

    Allan

I'm also getting it on some occasions. All I'm doing is, Enter the password and use the option to remember the password. I don't know & think if there is any alternate for this, Because the first login (authentication) you are doing is for the CRM Services so that USD can connect to your CRM and get its configuration and other stuff.  The second one is the UI of CRM website which is running on totally different thread and on its own IE process.

I would be glad to know that my thought process is wrong and if any one can correct. One possible option for you could be using the USD Automation but for that you should know the User ID & Password stored "some how" in the configurations.
