Hi there we are trying to create a click through link to a network attached server. Dynamics is rejecting everything other than FTP/HTTP protocol in the URL link. And in other fields in the CRM we cannot make it click through.

Pulling hair out - any help very much appreciated

    Could you elaborate please on what the html web resource please?

    Would this be something like a DNS forwarder/re-direct; how would it be administered?

    We would be looking to do thousands of folders so concerned about burden

    I am out my depth and my tiny mind so thanks for you help in advance

    Hi Guido,

    That is excellent

    We have created an HTML webresource with the following code which opens an arbitrary folder:-

    "<html><head><meta charset="utf-8"></head><body><a href="file://basbackup/bascustomers/customer files/1000/">Open Documents</a></body></html>"

    This will allow us to click through for a web previewer

    There are a couple of issues:-

    When we put it on the form IE will not allow click through and gives us the message 'navigation cancelled'

    The other issue is we would like to be able to link to this to a form so an end user can add a different file location.  Is there  simple methodology of auto/manual generating script to link a folder on the server for each Account?
