3 way matching on backordered quantities on POs

We are using 3 way matching. When trying to invoice on partial quantities the system requires approval on matching errors where 3 way matching is trying to match the /full quantity price/ of the purchase order line for an item even if it is partially shipped. (price doesn't match item price x qty). How do we line it up so that the price is based on the qty that was received, not the full quantity ordered?

Hy,

may be you can outline whether you posted product receipts with what quantities?

Usualy you can match with a posted prodcut receipt even it is only prtially.

Thanks, here is a bit more context. Our product receipts are posted with quantities and the invoice is recognizing the quantity on the product receipt. However for some reason, especially with intercompany orders, we are seeing the quantity pass but the amount fail.

Hopefully that helps explain it a bit better.
